AC/DC Kicks Off Power Up North American Tour with Explosive Set in Minneapolis
After rocking Europe in 2024, AC/DC has finally brought their Power Up tour to North America. The legendary band launched the highly anticipated U.S. leg last night (April 9, 2025) at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, marking their first live show since August 2024.
The evening was a dream come true for longtime fans. The band delivered a 21-song setlist packed with hits from across their storied career, blending fan favorites with deep cuts for an unforgettable night of hard rock.
A Thunderous Start and Classic Highlights
AC/DC opened with the electrifying “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” from Highway to Hell, instantly setting the tone for a high-voltage night. That 1979 album got plenty of attention, with performances of both the title track and “Shot Down In Flames.”
But it was Back in Black that dominated the setlist. Five tracks came from the iconic album, including “Hells Bells,” “You Shook Me All Night Long,” and of course, “Back in Black” itself. The band moved seamlessly through eras, pulling out extended versions of “Let There Be Rock” and “Riff Raff” complete with show-stopping guitar solos.
Crowd-pleasers like “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “Thunderstruck” brought waves of energy, while nods to Stiff Upper Lip and The Razors Edge rounded out the show’s musical journey.
A Salute to the Fans
The encore featured two explosive anthems—“T.N.T.” and “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)”—leaving fans on a high note as the stadium roared with applause.
What’s Next on the Tour?
With Minneapolis in the rearview, AC/DC now heads to Dallas, followed by shows in Pasadena, Vancouver, Las Vegas, and more. Additional stops include Detroit, Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Chicago, ensuring fans across the continent get their dose of high-voltage rock.
